Our Commitment to the Community

Susan G. Komen Puerto Rico was established on the Island in 2003 with the goal of educating and raising awareness about breast health and breast cancer. Its staff and volunteers promote early detection as a tool to save lives and work to empower the Island's population, identify their risk factors and adopt healthy lifestyles.

100% of the funds raised stay on the Island to eliminate access barriers to breast health education and care, quality medical care and treatments.

Since 2010, the organization has provided more than $4 million through its Community Impact Assistance Programs to provide free mammograms and financial assistance for diagnostic tests, breast cancer treatments and support programs for patients and survivors in the 78 municipalities of the Island.
